Hello Lighthouse Parents!

Spring is finally here and before we know it, summer vacation will be upon us!  The end of the year is always super busy, but the fun doesn’t stop for the summer. There is a lot going on with Lighthouse and a couple ways to serve over the summer.

The last Lighthouse of the school year will be Wednesday, May 22nd at The Rice’s!  We will be celebrating our graduating seniors, as well as a few other end of year Lighthouse traditions! We will take a break from Wednesday nights in June and be back for the Lighthouse Summer Session in July.  Summer Session will be a little more relaxed than a typical Wednesday night, but we will still have a ton of fun and dive into the Word.

Sunday, June 9th we will be leaving for summer camp at Hume Lake! We will be headed to Hume in a charter bus for a week filled with hanging by the lake, swimming, playing board games, rec games and of course some amazing devotion, small group and worship times. You don’t want your student to miss out on the chance to build strong, Christ-centered friendships with other Lighthouse students.  As I write this, there are only 2 spots left.

Family Summer!  On Sunday, July 7th we will go to one Sunday worship service at 10am.  All students 7th grade and up are invited to serve in the Family Summer Children’s Program.  Youth service will continue and move up to the Lighthouse room for students who choose not to participate, or need a Sabbath from serving.

Day Camp!  June 24th – 28th students can volunteer at Hope Center’s Day Camp as a station leader, station assistant, or crew leader.  This year I will be in the craft room and Tim Loux, our Junior High Director, will be at games!  All high school students are invited to join us on Thursday, July 27th after Day Camp for a picnic, ice cream and games at the park (students should bring a sack lunch).

The vision of Youth Ministries at Hope Center is to make disciples that make disciples. In Lighthouse we develop rhythms of discipleship by being God’s family on mission.  As always, it is a pleasure to partner with you in the discipleship of your students.  Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
